Basic Information:
Cucumbers are slender with tender skin and tapered ends. It is practically a fruit. However, like tomatoes and other squashes, it is often perceived, eaten and prepared as a vegetable. Cucumbers may have a mild melon aroma and flavour. They are eaten as a salad, cooked with other vegetables, and also pickled.

Cucumber has very high water content and therefore could be helpful with reducing dehydration. Furthermore, due to the presence of vitamin K it helps with prevention of blood clots. It is also a rich source of vitamin A which helps build a healthy immune system.
